Hii Zhe Xi, you should be able to delete comments on your own videos. You can also set up your account so you have to approve any comments before they are posted.

There are always going to be people who go beyond critiquing - on the internet, whenever someones has anonymity and an audience, they can turn into a babbling ignoramus. The best thing is to ignore them (don't give them the attention they are trying to get by purposefully riling you up) and/or delete their comments. You have the power in the situation, so just keep cool and level-headed.

bintu, you can download Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds and Tasty Planet from our site (and they're also on the app store if you have an iphone, ipod touch or ipad). Hopefully you weren't asking about a download link for "Tasty Planet 3" (since the game doesn't exist... yet!)

...and even though I just posted this in the TP1 section, I'll addi it here as I think more people check the TP2 area.

The Tasty Planet App has now been updated with Game Center Leaderboards and Achievements! James spent a lot of time getting Game Center to work with TP, so we hope you enjoy it :D (com'on, ThirdParty, the challenge is out; The App Leaderboards are ripe for the taking. Start eating before Bluepenguin and Kren catch up! ... I'm assuming of course all three of you have iphones/ipod touches and have bought the app...you do all have it, right? ;))

..and as a side note, the Achievement graphics were a lot of fun to create; my favorite was the one for 'Simon the Cat.'

And because a Twitter feed, blog, and forum weren't enough, Dingo Games now has a Facebook page that you can like and follow for updates, links to videos, pictures and more.

To all our Dingo Games and Tasty Planet fans - you can now play TP on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch! That's right, we finally made our first app! We've updated it for the app store, so there are now four different ways to play (tilt, tap, joystick or trackpad), new comics, and of course you still get an all-you-can eat buffet of objects from microbes to solar systems! It's the original Tasty Planet you know and love, now available in the app store. You can get it today!

Alas, Kren, I could not include the Velociraptor. You're right, they did exist during the (Upper) Cretaceous, but they did not live in North America - which was a requirement for any dinos depicted in the game. Their fossils have only been found in Mongolia.

However, if paleontologist ever discover their skeletons here, I still couldn't draw them for TP2; the first Jurrassic Park movie made such an impact, I think, on peoples' opinion of the Velociraptor, that I know I would dishearten the gamer audience by illustrating them "correctly" - they'd be half the size of the ones in the movie and would have feathers. (so...not as cool :S) :S But perhaps if I ever needed to draw more dinos, I could do Deinonychus! (if I'm not picky about Lower/Upper Cretaceous at that point).

Personally, I originally thought that the names were mainly made up by Dumas and used because they sounded 'cool.' In the Three Musketeers novel, a guard says to Athos "But that is not a man's name; that is the name of a mountain," because of Mount Athos in Greece. So I thought that his character was named after the mountain, and the other two were given their names based on Athos/becaues they sounded good!

Later, while doing more research on The Three Musketeers, I found out that they were named (and in some cases, based) on real people! Athos, Porthos, and Aramis were names they gave themselves to hide their identity. Dumas named them after Armand de Sill├Ęgue d'Athos d'Autevielle, Isaac de Porthau and Henri d'Aramitz, all real musketeers!

'Athos', 'Porthau' (also also Portau or Portaut) and 'Aramitz' (Aramits) are all places, and the 'de' in their names means 'of', so Aramand (was lord) of Sillegue, of Athos and of Autevielle (all real places in south-western France!). Dumas used just the village names, altered them a tiny bit, and gave them to the now classical characters.

It was always interesting in our research to discover that Dumas was inspired by real people when creating characters!
