Awwww, James,

Stop picking on Kris.  You're not getting a Stegosaurus, although you can hope :).

For those of us who have not finished as yet, I don't want to know the ending, prematurely.  Thanks

The Three Musketeers: The Game / Level 42
« on: May 11, 2010, 06:26:34 PM »
James,

I seem to be stuck reaching level 42.  The game gives me a lot of Rochellais to dispatch in the same scene (if I stay in the area, they keep coming in two, six) but, the level bar does not move past a certain point.

Alas, I think this is it for my goal of reaching the last level (in this lifetime) :)

Anyway, after you finish "Tasty Planet - a la mode", which I'm looking forward to playing, please consider working on "Three Musketeers - 20 years later".

Thanks.

James,

Thanks for the reply.  This has become my go-to game, I never get bored with it.  I may never reach level 76  :-\ but at least I have something to strive for while I wait for your next games.   No pressure ;D

Now I understand why some people kept saying it's only half a game.  Glad I bought my game from DingoG and will continue to support your talents.

I'm still playing the game and will be reaching level 42 very soon.   So far, I've dispatched 1565 (yes I'm counting ;D) ) ruffians, thieves, highwaymen, englishmen and Rochelliers and I still have about 1/5 of the bar to fill.

Am I correct in estimating that there are 76 levels to this game or are there more levels?  If I make it to the ultimate level (in a few years) is there a surprise or a least a snarky comment about the obsessive compulsiveness by the user  ;D

Looking forward to a Three Musketeers sequel after Tasty Planet 2.

Aradan69,

I totally agree with your assessment of this amazing game.  No matter how many times you've completed the story, it remains intriguing.  I'm trying to get everyone I know to play this game. :D

Can you add Constance, Milady DeWinter and Queen Anne avatars to the profile list, please?  I want to change my profile image. Thanks.

You really should feel bad about robbing a monk..but they do like giving to the poor. ;)

I completed the game and achievements, but continue to play to see how high the levels go.  Right now, I'm nearly done with level 37.  I plan to start a new game and this time do a few things different.  I wonder how many people sold the rare wine from the basement and then said they never saw it....I held onto it for a long time before I sold it. ;D

Your team is to be commended for the wonderful details of the characters, the movement of D'Artagnan's hair when he rides, the sound of the horse's foot on the cobblestones, the change in music as the scene changes, the comments made by all the people, and compliments to your wife on the artistry.  I sometimes find myself enjoying the scenery of the countryside and then all of a sudden, ruffians attack.   Great job.

Started playing and love this game.  I especially like going into the homes and buildings, searching the barrels and crates and the homeowners don't mind a bit ;D

Tasty Planet / Finally Won All Gold Medals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: December 29, 2009, 08:34:39 PM »
 Yes!!!Yes!!!

It feels good to finally win all the gold medals.  The hardest level was Picnic Table 6.

The only strategy to this game is to keep playing and become familar with the layout of the level.  Avoid anything that can hurt you, move as fast as you can and eventually the game will throw you a bone and give you a good batch of things to eat, so you can finish within the time frame.

When you get to Picnic Table 6, it is a matter of luck (really it comes down to luck) to finally get the gold medal.

This is a really great game.  Good Luck

See my medals from the game and also from PlayFirst.

Thanks James.

I do eat the dominoes at the bottom and then middle left.  I'll keep trying and let you know when I make all gold.  I never thought I would make silver much less 59 gold medals.  It's only a matter of time. ;D

I said it before, but you made a really great game.
