I had never heard of the Munchables, I'll have to check that out.

Nothing that I support. But there are cheat programs out there that work by searching for a particular value in memory (your money) and editing that value.

I might change the structure and order in which the levels are played. However, I like having massive levels that go all the way from tiny to huge.

Yes, it's done by the area of objects. It's calculated to per pixel accuracy. A few objects (like clouds) have lower density so you can eat them when you are smaller.

The alternative would have been estimating what the height of objects would be and calculating the volume. For example, a piece of paper is extremely thin so it's volume is tiny. But that would be hard and confusing for players to decide which objects they could eat.

At this point I'd rather put the effort into the new game. We'll be announcing something soon enough I think.

Yes, you'll receive an email with a download link to the full version.

Thanks for your comment etay2k. Currently, the only way to get more animals is to buy them. If the game does well we might add more content (levels, characters) and meta-game stuff (unlocking by achievements). But right now it's only available by in-app purchase.

@heatherish Your version would have these changes in it.

Big Fish would have provided you with the latest version that they have. If there are any huge changes I'll send them to Big Fish.

Sorry, I can't give you permission to do that.

If you're serious about learning to make games, I would recommend starting with something a bit simpler anyways. Start with a game like pong... then try slightly larger stuff like tetris, asteroids, etc. You'll learn a lot in the process.

Playground is around 50MB I think. Shouldn't take very long to download if you have decent internet.

If we got on Steam, I'm sure we would still have the game on our own website as well.

We might try it. I'd certainly like to get our games on Steam.

There is no publicly released Tasty Planet level editor.
