The question is "will Tasty Planet 3 be released 2 years"? I certainly hope it will be sooner than that.

Even just 1 of them could make it in less than 2 years. Hopefully Tasty Planet will be out by the end of this year or January of next.

I would probably have to free download the game when it comes out because my parents think Tasty Planet on the iPhone and Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds on my PC is enough Tasty Planet.
Tasty Planet is so great. How did only a two-person company make such a great game!?

How many time did James take to finish the whole entire Tasty Planet Back For Seconds, is, at least I think, the same time he will took for finishing Tasty Planet 3.

Of course, he would want it to be better than BFS (how?) so he might spend a bit more time on it.

But I don't think it will be much too long, as we have all suggested many idea of it.

About the level editor...

I think that we could have the animations, entities, and such already pre-made based on the actual in-game animations, and we just place the objects, edit soe size settings, and you are good to go!

Of course, I don't know if you can just do that with the actual level editor you use. I would like to create a level where you just eat different sized versions of the same things.

Also, roads are peiced together as if they were objects. Why not make them edible?

What about setting object emitters?

The editor that I use let's you do everything that you said, and lets you do object emitters. I'm not sure if I'm going to release that or not... it's pretty hard to use.

Roads could be edible... grass could be edible... it's just that generally you want to have a foreground of active objects and a background of inactive objects. The player needs to know what objects they can interact with. I agree that roads could be edible without confusing the player... but there are more interesting things to eat at that size, so I would be more inclined to leave the roads as background objects.  :)

I do understand how someone with no experience could have issues, but I personally have programming experience with a language called Scratch.

The Starcraft 2 editor looks fairly complicated, and even though it's code, look how much Minecraft is modded. People will definitely be able to use it. (Not me though. I just like playing.)
